PBB : Mommies visit the teens!

(Beauty take note of this) Matuturuan ang mga housemates ng household chores.

PBB : Teens’ labor of love

PBB : There’s no place like home…

PBB : No more algorithm!

PBB : Jolas at it again!

PBB : On Primetime: The Kapitbahays just moved in!

Inside the PBB house, it is a normal day (well, as normal as it could be in Kuya’s house, at least) for the teen housemates. They’re beginning to get the hang of working as a team especially having spent the week bonding and getting to know each other. Linda taught some to wash their clothes. Rona was looked up to as the “ate”. Josef showed off his cooking skills, as Beauty showed hers in doing nail care. All helped Priscilla in coping with her disability. They’re so “tight” that Rona even woke up to a nightmare that involved her real family and her family inside the PBB house.

Family is how the housemates regard each other now. Even Robi and Josef can say that they have gotten past their schools’ rivalry and, though they failed the BBF task, can remain friends in and out of the house. Jieriel felt guilty since she was the only one who voiced out her doubts on the two, causing them to fail their task. Robi and Josef also apologized for losing the task as it meant that everyone loses next week’s allowance. Yet, as fine families do, no one blamed anyone and all took their consequences in stride.

The teen housemates have just gotten around their initial adjustments and already, Kuya has a big surprise coming their way. A plus or a minus, only time will tell. Unknown to the housemates, a secret house exists on the other side of the pool and it has just been occupied by their near and dear: their guardians. In the house are Robi’s Daddy Boy, Josef’s Tita Anna, Linda’s Mommy Ningning and Jieriel’s Daddy Gerry. Mommy Carina, Mommy Rose and Mommy Sandy are also present for Beauty, Rona and Nikki, respectively. Jolas’ Daddy Ike, Nan’s Mommy My Love, and Ejay’s Daddy Erning follow, are joined by Tita Violy for Valerie and Mommy Jinky for Priscilla. Alex’s Mommy Minda and Kevin’s Daddy John round up the group. The catch: If any guardian leaves prematurely, it spells automatic eviction for their ward.

How will the teen housemates react to this twist? Will their guardians inspire them or put negative pressure? How will being with their guardians affect their behavior? Make sure you make time to check out the goings-on in Kuya’s house as things are certainly about to get even more exciting! PBB : Teen housemates present their signature dance

As the choreographer of the second batch of teen housemates’s signature dance, Jolas taught his dance class by the pool. Then at the cue of the "Kabataang Pinoy" song, everyone went into performance mode to impress Kuya. The girls wore their pretty little dresses while the boys sported their beach shorts. In the end, our teen housemates wowed Big Brother with their showmanship.

Also this afternoon, Mariel Rodriguez gave us a sneak peek on what could be Kuya’s "biggest plus" of the season. In last Sunday’s grand premiere, Luis Manzano toured us around the so-called "secret house" complete with two bedrooms, a living room, a dining and kitchen area, a shower room, and the special spa. PBB fans may already be familiar with the "secret room" that Kuya keeps near the confession room, but in this edition, Kuya has decided to power up the surprises with a lavish "secret house" which is actually intended for another batch of guests who will add color to the lives of our official teen housemates.

Hold on to your seats as Big Brother unveils his "biggest plus" of the season tomorrow night right after I Am KC. For the meantime, be sure to catch Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus later after Lobo to see if Robi and Josef succeeded in their week-long secret "Best Buds Forever" task.

PBB : Kevin sings his heart out

The Spanish Stallion started his singing lessons yesterday afternoon right after the BasketPool game with Nikki as his first voice coach. Kuya assigned Kevin to sing the Bryan Adams classic "Heaven," and even though he wasn’t that familiar with it, he tried his best to memorize the lyrics with Nikki’s help. His next mentor was Linda, who sang the song to Kevin again and again so that he could get the melody right. However, Kevin got lost in ‘translation’ because of Linda’s singing style and voice. Rona later joined in and sang the song one line at a time to help Kevin master both the lyrics and the melody.

This morning, it was Big Brother’s turn to help Kevin out by playing the song on repeat full blast through the house’s audio system. The teen housemates soon found themselves having a bad case of LSS (last song syndrome) and sang along with Kevin. Later, the young man prepared himself for a possible performance and sang like a rock star in front of a mic stand. Alex, who was so amused with his fellow Eurasian’s number could not help but join in the fun. A few more rehearsals and Kevin could be on his way to the Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 shortlist!

Will Kuya make Kevin perform the song on live television? Keep it here for more juicy updates on our housemates. Also, catch Uber  this afternoon with Mariel Rodriguez for another exciting teen bonding activity.

PBB : Time’s up for the BBFs

Jieriel took Priscilla aside to confront her about certain behaviors that got on Bubbly Girl’s nerves. Foremost of these is Priscilla’s tendency towards quick movements and grabbing items instantly. Jieriel explained that it wasn’t her intention to offend Priscilla, but that she’d rather come clean and explain herself. Priscilla took the criticism constructively, and asked specific ways on how to better herself. What could have been a heated argument wound down to a casual sharing. Jieriel asked Priscilla about her disability and if anything could be done about it. Though there are viable alternatives, like a hearing aid and an operation, the costs were so high that it was next to impossible to obtain. It was then that Priscilla started crying as she shared her fears of not getiing a job and a romantic relationship. Jieriel tried to comfort her and both ended up with bowed heads with Jieriel praying over her housemate.

Another possible source of tension was the secret BBF task given to Robi and Josef. Coming from rival schools, the Atenean and the Lasallite had to convince the other housemates that they were best friends, or else the entire household loses its weekly budget for the coming week. Time’s up, and the scoreboard reads 1-0, in Kuya’s favor. The boys apologized for having to fib to the other housemates and for losing them next week’s allowance. The others took it in stride and had a recap of the week gone by, particularly on why the BFF task took a nosedive. Top two on the list are their hesitance and inaccurate stories.

Looks like it’s a vegan week ahead for the housemates! Familiarity breeds contempt, they say. Who else will rub another the wrong way? Will Alex be able to push through with his plan? What other “pluses” are in store for the 14 housemates? Keep reading the PBB Teens Plus website and blogs for more updates! PBB : Ejay’s team is declared BasketPool champs

Gentle Giant Jolas became the focus of this afternoon’s fun game on Uber. The former team captain of Far Eastern University’s lauded high school basketball varsity team, Jolas entered the house for one reason: to heal the scars between him and his father caused by his most loved game. A bad play on his part resulted to an injury during one of his games and terribly worried his father. This caused a rift between the two and led to Jolas eventually quitting the team.

To cheer Jolas up and make him reminiscent of his basketball playing days, Kuya asked them to play basketball, the Pinoy Big Brother way. Aside from playing basketball in the pool instead of the usual hard court there was also a reversal of roles – the girls will be the players while the boys will be the cheerleaders. Jolas and Ejay, who were the appointed coaches and hoops, were give their respective teams. Jolas’s yellow team consisted of Rona, Priscilla and Nicole while Beauty, Valerie and Linda belonged to Ejay’s blue team. Because of the uneven number of girls, Jieriel acted as referee to the game.

The game commenced and the first shot was made by Rona, earning yellow team a point. Nicole quickly shot yellow’s second basket making Beauty really anxious to score for blue. By the end of the first half, both teams were tied with two points a piece. Kevin, who was one of the appointed cheerleaders for blue, approached the blue team for some pointers on the second half.

The girls proved to be more aggressive than their cheerleaders in the second half, constantly diving for the ball and hanging on to it for dear life. There were a lot of miscalculated throws that ended up hitting "the hoop" (Jolas’s head). Valerie’s long limbs proved to be an asset for the blue team and soon enough the mischievous trio of Josef, Alex, and Kevin gave her the monicker "Lastikwoman". At the end of the game, Ejay’s blue team scored a total of eight points and was declared the Basketpool champions while Jolas’s yellow team scored a measly four.

Well, the excitement for the day doesn’t end here for the housemates still have to discover the owner of unidentified "explosive" in the bathroom and solve Alex’s tuli dilemma. Tune in to Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus on primetime bida for the answers to the housemates’s "mind-boggling mysteries".

PBB : On Primetime: Tears flow and a decision is made

The housemates had a Q & A for Josef and Robi, another of Kuya’s plans to trip the two up. Good thing they still remembered their made-up story and were quick to think of safe answers. Out of 24 questions, they got 13 right and 11 wrong ones – a slight difference, but it was enough for Beauty, the score keeper of the game, to declare that the BBFs passed the Compatibility Test.

Beauty’s patience was put to the test later as Kuya had her teach Nikki how to twirl the baton. Since Beauty and Linda were baton twirlers, they were made to perform in front of their housemates. Beauty had to do her act twice, since Kuya felt she lacked energy. The whole time, she was so conscious because she felt she had black underarms. Even though Linda gave her concealer and powder, she still felt uncomfortable and distracted. The second try worked great, though. After Linda’s one-time performance, she was tasked to coach Jieriel to duplicate her steps. Adding to the pressure, Kuya warned them that if they fail to teach their housemates, Beauty and Linda would face serious consequences. Knowing this, Jieriel burst into tears after performing. She felt bad because she felt she didn’t do well and didn’t want Linda to carry the punishment of her actions. Not even Linda could comfort her, especially after the other housemates chose the Beauty-Nikki tandem over theirs. Apparently, Linda reminded her of her mom, which was why she got distracted and scared of her mentor. Her tears affected even Beauty, who was initially having a hard time controlling her temper as she taught first-timer Nikki to twirl. Even with the “hip, hop, hoop” technique, Nikki tensed up as she practiced the routine. Good for them though, Kuya just wanted to test how they would react under pressure, so no big punishment. Beauty just has to make sure that Nikki’s bangs wouldn’t cover her face and learn to wash her undies, under the watchful eye of teacher Linda. More life’s lessons for this teen who said that she would bring a maid with her if she goes to the province to be able to survive.

Alex’s life lesson is really on making personal decisions. Kuya had Dr. Dexter Aison, a pediatric surgeon, along with interpreter Constantino Zicarelli, talk to Alex about circumcision. He reminds Alex that there is no medical reason for it, except that it would make his privates cleaner. He warns him about falling prey to peer pressure and assures him that it is not a requisite. Knowing all those, Alex still decides to push through with the procedure.

Will Alex stick to his decision or will he regret it after the deed is done? What other practical household chores will Beauty learn? Will Robi and Josef win the bet with Kuya? Watch out for updates on PBB Primetime and Uber, or check our site and blogs!

PBB : Is this Kuya’s April Fools’ joke?

Alex, Jolas and Nicole were in the middle of a secret task when everyone had to pause and answer the mystery knocks on Kuya’s door. Alex’s mom entered the room and greeted them much to the teen’s bewilderment. The housemates warmly welcomed Mommy Minda, who spoke to them in some Italian, this being the result of living in Italy for 29. She kidded around with the gang and the housemates loved her instantly.

While helping the kids clean up after lunch, she declared that she would not be just Alex’s mom but would be representing all the housemate’s mothers. Mommy Minda would be teaching them how to do house chores the right way with a special mention of Beauty, who’s completely clueless on these things. Beauty found comfort and an ally in Mommy Minda, even urging her to scold Alex for calling her “piggy”.

The housemates were enjoying Mommy Minda’s company when another unexpected visitor came in. Nicole was the most shocked to see her Mommy Sandy standing at the threshold. She welcomed her mother with a tight embrace and introduced her to the housemates. Jieriel praised Mommy Sandy by telling her she still has a teenager’s body and could be one of the housemates. Nicole then proudly showed the things she does around the house to her mom, whom she misses sorely. Valerie also had the opportunity to bond with Mommy Sandy as she gave her a tour of the girls’s bedroom.

Well, Kuya’s surprise does not stop with Mommy Sandy for Daddy Ike, Jolas’s Dad, also makes an appearance. Jolas, who was about to take a dip in the pool, immediately took his father around and proudly introduced him to the gang.

The other housemates suddenly wished their parents were also there to visit them and Priscilla didn’t hesitate to express her homesickness. Will Kuya finally bring in the rest of the guardians? Can Mommy Minda, Mommy Sandy and Daddy Ike keep their stay inside the secret half of the Big Brother house a secret? Catch the suspense and updates on this event in PBB Teen Edition Plus’s primetime episode with Luis and Toni.

PBB : Robi wins the teen debate

Robi proved he’s more than a pretty face by scoring a victory against Rona in a debate Kuya devised for the teen housemates. In the debate, the two academically outstanding housemates were each given three minutes to defend their particular stance on which sex is smarter: male or female. Clad in traditional Filipino attire, the two teens brought out their best arguments in front of their fellow housemates.

Robi was up first, stating that men were smarter since God created Adam first. Further proof of man’s intellectual superiority, Robi insisted, was the fact that Pinoy Big Brother was named after the male of the species. The housemates hooted in laughter over his unexpected argument.

Rona also took on a Biblical tack by saying that Adam was weak and easily gave in to Eve’s temptation. Rona also said that the women are slowly gaining ground in the patriarchal society, noting the growing number of professionals now competing with their male counterparts. The lass from Dumaguete so impressed her fellow housemates with her eloquent speech that even Robi seemed at a loss for words.

The young Atenean threw up his hands in frustration when he learned that he had to give a two-minute rebuttal while his opponent received some tips from Beauty who told her to focus on the main argument. The debate heated up even more as Robi and Rona traded arguments back and forth and brought up one fact after the other.

Kuya gave the housemates a minute to decide on the winner. After some deliberation, Josef pronounced Robi the winner for being straight to the point and delivering his speech confidently. He also mentioned that Rona had too many arguments and too much irrelevant information.

While Rona may have been disappointed with her loss, she gave Robi a hug and congratulated him on a job well done. While another exciting game ends for the housemates, something seems to be keeping Ejay preoccupied. Find out more of Ejay’s predicament on Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus on Primetime.

PBB : On Primetime: Guardians of the Graduates

March is graduation month, and three housemates were missing out on their graduation. For them to have a grad party, the other housemates were tasked to assemble 1,500 notebooks without the graduates knowing. Jolas kept Rona, Robi and Jieriel occupied practicing dance steps while the others were hard at work. Not hard enough, though, because they failed to complete the task, which they attributed to lthe housemates’s lack of seriousness and efficiency. Aside from not having a grad party, there was no additional punishment, but simply knowing that the three housemates would be without a celebration was enough to move the others to tears. All were full of remorse as Josef tells the grads about the failed task, and Robi, Jieriel and Rona expressed their thanks to the others, especially to all the effort they have put into it. They then went swimming, instead, to celebrate the occasion and to shake off their negative feelings. Meanwhile, while the other guardians were busy cleaning their house, Kuya called the parents of Robi, Rona and Jieriel into the Confession Room and told them about the failed task. However, they still had a chance to make things work by finishing the task themselves. Without batting an eyelash, the parents hauled the boxes of notebooks and finished making 1,500 notebooks, meaning the three teens get to have their grad surprise after all.

Though the teens still have no idea that there were people living right next door, Kuya sends them a hint through their task. He instructed them go to the storage room, where they saw pictures of their guardians beside some clothes. Apparently the housemates have to introduce their guardian to their friends while, wearing the designated clothes. Little did they know that their guardians were also watching them right that moment. Teary-eyed yet full of smiles, their loved ones listened and watched as the teens told their stories. The tears were not contained to the guardians, though, as one by one the teens began crying. Beauty, Linda, and Valerie moaned about their selfish actions, and wished to let their moms know they were much appreciated. After the stories were exchanged, Rona led them into a prayer session. They ended the emotional moment with a big group hug. Families aren’t just biological, after all.

Nan also had an emotional moment with Kuya inside the Confession Room. He wants to stop schooling and start working instead, to help out his mom with their household expenses, but Mommy My Love wouldn’t hear of it. He tried not to let his mom see him in such a worried state, and it was a relief for him to finaly express himself to Kuya. On the other hand, Alex was finally granted his wish to be circumcised in the PBB house. The other boys were consulted too, since the process would limit Alex’ activities and participation in the tasks, but the teens were all for it and promised to adjust and support their housemate. What all should watch out for, though, is the heartwarming conversation between Ejay and his dad, as the Probinsiyano Hottie finally reveals to his father about his knowledge of his ’real’ paternal roots. Don’t miss this moment and watch it on Primetime tomorrow, right after Lobo!
