DETOUR - A choice between two different tasks to accomplish before teams can continue on the race. |

ROADBLOCK - A task in which only one member of the two-person Team may participate. |

FAST FORWARD - Allows the Team that completes the FAST FORWARD task to proceed directly to the next PIT STOP without having to do any further tasks on the way. - Only the first Team to find and complete the FAST FORWARD may use it - There are only 2 FAST FORWARD cards available in the race. |

YIELD - Gives Teams the chance to force another Team behind them to stop racing for a period of time. - A Team may use the YIELD on another Team only once throughout the entire race. |

ROUTE MARKER A yellow and red flag that marks the locations of where contestants can find further instructions. |
| PIT STOP - The final destination for each leg of the race. At most PIT STOPs, the last Team to arrive is eliminated from the race. |
