" If someday you'll find yourself thirsting for comfort, 'coz you're in deep pain and frustration, remember that next to God, i could always be your refuge when everyone doesn't hear your cries. "
The Amazing Race Asia 2: Executive Producer, Director
January 27, 2008Michael McKay - Executive Producer, Director, The Amazing Race Asia

Michael McKay is a highly experienced television production executive with over 30 years of network television experience.
He is the Executive Producer and Director of The Amazing Race Asia for AXN, a Sony Pictures Entertainment company.
The second in the series will feature 13 episodes based on the original 7 time Emmy Award winning US version created by Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri.
"The first series of The Amazing Race Asia scored record ratings and immense critical acclaim but the second series operates on a whole different level again" McKay says.
Michael was Facilitator / Producer of the Australian episodes of The Amazing Race series 2 and the Emmy Award winning series 4. Michael was Consulting Producer on series 5 and 9 before taking on the Asian version of the production and following up with a producing stint on the recent All-Stars U.S. version.
He is President of activetv which operates in Australia (founded in 1988) and Singapore. He was a Partner in the Hong Kong based CSA, an advertiser funded specialist that was purchased by the Interpublic Group in 2004 and was based in London for 2 years.
He has recently created a new series for AXN called Ultimate Escape which will see unsuspecting couples airlifted into an exotic action and adventure holiday location. The series will premiere later in 2007.
Michael is also a multi award winning sports production executive. He says his live sports coverage experience is a great asset on The Amazing Race Asia. He was the Host Broadcast Consultant for the 2006 Commonwealth Games and oversaw the 2004, 2006 and 2007 World Superbike Championship rounds in Australia. He has produced countless hours of motor sports, football, golf and boxing.
He is vitally interested in the creation of "New Media" content and firmly believes the broadcasting industry as we know it is undergoing a radical generational change that will render it virtually unrecognizable in the coming years. A challenge he finds immensely exciting.
The challenge of executive producing The Amazing Race Asia is one McKay obviously relishes.
"I am certain the second series of The Amazing Race Asia will become a major talking point among cable viewers throughout the region when it airs on AXN in 2007-2008."
