No Amazing Race show can be without its hunk factor and that is where Marc and Rovilson from the Philippines come in. This is one team with the two flamboyant individuals, who dish out a mixture of comedy and ego with a ton of sass. Both TV hosts by day, Rovilson also works as a magazine editor while Marc is a model, whose face, and rather well toned body, has graced the cover of many magazines.
From the get-go, the combination of Marc and Rovilson, is a potent mixture that cannot be taken seriously. Otherwise, you will miss out on the constant ribbing dished out by the friends of four years, as they lovingly slam each other with put down and insults, all in the name of friendship.
Even before the race, Rovilson is very sure that his Aussie buddy will do something disappointing during the competition while Marc is deathly afraid that his American friend will show his true nature in the competition, which happens to be constantly late for everything.
"But I’ve learned to accept him as a friend, even with his faults. Plus, I tell him to turn up an hour before he actually needs to be there," Marc quips.
At the same time, Rovilson happily describes his friend as someone who lets his female co-host do all the dirty work on television, and also hosts beauty pageants for a living.
Such is the basis of a friendship that started with a mutual friend 4 years ago, which showed both men that they were not that different, as both love a good laugh, and share an equally wicked sense of humor. So what exactly is the biggest difference between them both?
As Marc puts it with a straight face, "I’ve got hair."
Marc is looking forward to the joy of hamming it up with his buddy on screen, and challenging themselves to win. In fact, this is his main reason for competing on the show. "We are the most competitive when we are giving each other a hard time," he points out, subtly revealing that it is not purely about the fun and games when it comes to the top prize.
So, given their sharp wit, outgoing personality and an ability to dish out as well as they can take, who is the better TV host between the two of them? A laughing Marc believes he has that title in the bag.
Pointing to his partner, "Even if I have to lug your lazy fat arse all over television, people will get to see who the best TV host is."
A sly Rovilson counters, "As long as you promise not to bring your stunt double."
And Rovilson makes this promise to viewers of the show, "We promise you the most animated, exciting, lovable, huggable and most fun team on The Amazing Race Asia."

The Amazing Race Asia 2 Episode 10
~ So sad team Philippines.. just 2nd to arrive..
EPISODE 10
With Henry and Terri out of the race, five teams remain. Having waited over five hours during an Intersection in the last leg, babes Paula and Natasha now find themselves taking the last spot. Marc and Rovilson continue to keep their first place lead, but as each leg winds down, the Filipino duo are seeing the other teams closing the gap and catching up more quickly than before.
Despite maintaining a lead over everyone else in the last few legs, Marc and Rovilson are not letting their guard down, and are intent on continuing to put their best foot forward in the race.
Teams must now take a train and head to Budapest, the capital city of Hungary. Their next clue is at the Keleti Train Station.
The first to the train station in the dead of night, Marc and Rovilson discover yet again that the next available direct train to Budapest leaves at 7.30 in the morning. After getting their tickets for the first direct service, the duo patiently awaits the other teams’ arrival.
Adrian and Collin enter the station, followed by Ann and Diane, and Pamela and Vanessa. Taking Marc and Rovilson’s lead, the other teams pick up their tickets for the direct service, except for Collin and Adrian.
Acting on a hunch, Adrian makes an online check and discovers that there is a train service leaving at 5am but it actually makes a detour to Vienna before heading to Budapest. According to the schedule, the earlier train will arrive in Budapest an hour and a half earlier. The question is if the indirect train service can maintain its schedule and arrive ahead of the direct train service.
In the end, the gym buddies decide that the possible advantage is worth the risk, and choose the 5am train. Once they get their tickets, the friends start moving away from the other teams.
Explains Adrian, "If they ask us a question about which train we are taking, we feel very uncomfortable if we lie, so we moved away." To their surprise, no one else discovers the existence of the earlier train.
Back at the pitstop, Paula and Natasha leave, with less than an hour to catch the 7.30am train.
"We’re still in it. We’re hours behind the other teams but we’re going to do the very best to catch up," enthuses a positive Natasha.
But with several hours of waiting, the absence of the Singaporeans does not go unnoticed, especially by Marc and Rovilson, who start second guessing if they have somehow missed something important.
"I can’t believe there would have been an earlier train to Budapest," says a disbelieving Marc, but he heads to the ticket counter and checks anyway. News soon spread that there was an earlier train.
"They are so far ahead, they are in Season 3 now," teases Rovilson. "Adrian and Collin have been using a fourth dimension that we haven’t been using, and that is the Internet."
Luckily, the remaining four teams manage to get on board the 7.30am train and travel 443km to Hungary.
On the first train, Collin and Adrian still cannot get over being the only team who are on the earlier train. "I’m surprised because I thought the other teams would grill and ask a lot of questions, to the fastest train to Budapest," says Adrian.
Meanwhile, the other teams spend their time on the train ride kicking themselves for missing the details of the earlier train. "This is going to give us a big kick in the butt," laments Rovilson. "Time to kick it up a notch."
SQUARING THINGS
Arriving at the station, Adrian and Collin have an uncontested lead. They now have to make their way to Batthyany Square, located across from the Hungarian Parliament Building. The square is named after Lajos Batthyany, the first Prime Minister of Hungary.
At the marker, the next clue points teams towards their car and teams must drive to Magyar Farm, located 20km outside Budapest.
As the second train pulls into Budapest, teams start scrambling for their next clue and towards the farm. With the knowledge that one team is so far ahead, everyone else is gunning for second place.
Despite having suspicions that Collin and Adrian are ahead, Marc and Rovilson are still hoping that they are wrong. Alas, the truth finally kicks in. "We saw that there were four clues in the clue box, so Collin and Adrian did get here before us," says Marc.
QUIT STALLING
Upon getting the clue in Batthyany Square, Paula freaks out a little upon seeing the cars made available to the teams. "Oh my god, is that a manual?" "Yes, you’ll be fine," assures Natasha.
Not being in the first spot is also getting to Marc and Rovilson, who are the third to pick up their clue, followed by the Malaysian sisters and Ann and Diane.
As soon as they get into the car, things get a bit bumpy for Paula, who is still unsure about driving a manual car. Her car stalls several times, before she starts getting the hang of it.
But things do not go as smoothly for Vanessa, who discovers that driving a manual car does not come naturally for her. In fact, she has the most difficulty getting used to the clutch. Try as she can, Vanessa can only make the car lurch back and forth, but not drive smoothly on the road.
ANIMAL FARM (PART 1)
Despite worrying about not knowing if they are on the right track, Adrian and Collin are the first to get to the farm, and into the next Detour.
Teams must pick either Pitch or Pull. In Pitch, teams must load a donkey cart full of hay using a pitch fork. They must then deliver it to a farmer for their next clue. In Pull, teams must pick a goat and milk 200ml of fresh milk from it, before receiving their next clue.
Recognising their strengths, the gym buddies pick Pitch. Loading the hay proves to be a breeze for them, and Adrian even has a little fun jumping and flattening the hay, making sure it does not spill over. The quickly load all the hay and the driver guides the cart to the waiting farmer.
Paula and Natasha are the second to the Detour and pick Pitch as well. Anne and Diane follow, but choose to milk the goat instead.
Aside from finding their way to the farm, sisters Pamela and Vanessa also have to deal with driving the car, which continues to stall on them. After some coaxing, Pamela manages to find a local willing to guide them to the farm. But she is also keeping her fingers crossed.
What she does not know is that Marc and Rovilson are also lost, and are having a new experience to the race. "This is the first in all the legs where we have no idea where any team is," says Rovilson.
At the goat pen, Ann and Diane pick out their goat and start milking the animal, and true to their maternal instinct, have a game plan for getting the goat to start lactating. While Diane starts the milking, Ann is busy trying to make the goat comfortable, by stroking its head. "I’m patting this goat, so that she’s comfortable and she doesn’t run away." But after several attempts, the mothers get absolutely nothing from the goat.
"I’m surprised we could not get a single drop of milk, considering that we’re mothers," notes a disbelieving Ann, but rather than dwell on it, the mothers decide to switch to Pitch instead.
ANIMAL FARM (PART 2)
By this time, Paula and Natasha, despite having a little difficulty in the task, manage to load up the hay and head for the farmer. After receiving their clue and just as they are pulling away from the farm, the girls come across an interesting surprise ¡V Marc and Rovilson, who are just arriving.
"We thought we got out to the farm pretty quickly, but then, some of the teams overtook us, it was scary," says Marc as and the buddies make their way to Pitch, just in time to see the moms loading their cart with hay. Wasting no time, they start loading up as well.
But their appearance gives the moms something to smile about. "We were surprised that Marc and Rovilson just got here," says Diane.
Due to their vehicular problems, the last to get to the farm are Pamela and Vanessa. A disappointment Vanessa laments, "We are one of the last ones." Her sister quickly retorts, "Because you stalled so many times."
Originally deciding on the Pitch, the sisters change their minds after seeing the effort put in by the other teams. Explains Pamela, "We saw the moms doing the hay, and we say Marc and Rovilson doing the hay and it looked so tiring."
At the goat farm, Pamela immediately homes in on the biggest goat and starts squeezing away. "We picked a goat and she looked like she’s got big, you know, titties. So we started squeezing, but no milk was coming out."
Meanwhile, the mothers have finished loading up, with the guys trying desperately to catch up. After getting the milk to start flowing, the sisters are a little closer to their 200ml mark but things start to get tricky when the goat stops cooperating. But perseverance pays off and they finally hit the 200ml mark, only to come across another snag. The sisters now have to transfer the milk to the holding pen.
"What’s a holding pen?" asks a puzzled Pamela. Neither of them know, until it dawns on them that the clue says to transfer the goat, and not the milk, back to its holding pen. "We did the milking very well, we just didn’t read the clue properly," admits Vanessa on the oversight that costs them precious time.
